Corduroy is a fabric that has lampwick-shaped strips on the surface. It was first developed in Leon 1750. Corduroys are characterized with full and rich strips, solid and thick texture, high durability and excellent performance in keeping warm.
Corduroy is woven with one group of warp yarns and two groups of weft yarns.
If classified in yarns used in weaving, corduroys include full-yarn corduroy and semi-thread corduroy; if classified according to the raw materials involved,there are cotton corduroy and T/C corduroy; if classified in the weaving techniques involved, there are piece dyed, yarn-dyed and figured corduroys; if classified according to the size of the wales, there are extra fine wales, fine wales, medium wales, coarse wales, etc. Corduroys are widely used in making garments and dresses for men, women and children.It is inappropriate to rub the fabric with force. After washing, the fabrics avoid ironing in case of any damage to the wales.
