Surge is twill in the weave of 2 up and 2 down to form a reinforced structure. It is such kind of cotton fabric developed in reference of wool fabrics.
Surge is soft and pliable in texture, and has the same weave on both sides. In terms of the different raw materials involved, the fabrics can be classified as cotton surge, acrylic/cotton surge, and T/C surge so on.
In surge fabrics, the yarns on the warp and weft sides are close in density and woven in the tilt angle of 45 degree.
