Twilled satin is a fabric of sateen weave. It is marked with smooth, well-finished and glossy surface, and after being calendared, gives a silk-like appearance.
Twilled satin is fully woven with yarns or with yarn and thread. Among them, the completely yarn-woven twilled satin is a major item, in which, cotton yarns are mostly used. Normally, the sizes of the yarns used in weaving vary considerably from 10s to 80s. The fabric is in weave of 5/3 kettsatin.
